The dentistry department of Paideia International Hospital offers comprehensive and personalized treatments, ensuring the utmost attention and the use of cutting-edge equipment to provide patients with the best quality of care.
The dentistry unit is comprised of various specialists, including general dentists, orthodontists, implantologists, endodontists, periodontists, pediatric dentists, and cosmetic dentistry professionals, who offer preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic treatments for dental conditions.
In addition to prevention, which is a central focus of the department with particular attention to oral hygiene and the prevention of cavities and gum diseases, many specific treatments are available, such as orthodontics for the correction of misaligned teeth, implantology to replace missing teeth with dental implants, endodontics for root canal treatment, periodontology for the treatment of gum diseases, pediatric dentistry for the care of children’s teeth, and cosmetic dentistry to enhance the appearance of teeth.
Each treatment plan is carefully studied and analyzed using state-of-the-art equipment, such as digital radiography devices and tools for computer-guided surgery. This allows for the complete customization of treatments.
Preventive dentistry
It deals with the prevention of dental and gum diseases and the ongoing monitoring of the overall oral health.
- Professional dental hygiene: it involves the mechanical or manual removal of tartar and plaque. It is an important preventive measure to avoid cavities or gum disease. It is a good practice to schedule 1 or 2 check-up and cleaning sessions each year, depending on the condition of your mouth and the advice of the dentist.
- Professional teeth whitening: the teeth whitening treatment with LED light involves the application of a gel on the surface of the teeth, which, activated by LED light, lightens the pigmented molecules responsible for stains and yellowing, making the teeth whiter and shinier. The effect is immediate, and the results further improve a few days after the treatment.
- At-home whitening: it is a non-invasive technique that does not damage the enamel of the teeth. It involves a completely customized soft silicone tray that can be worn at home, and into which a specific whitening gel is inserted every day. By wearing the trays for the number of hours indicated by the dentist, remarkable results can be achieved in just a few days.
- Gum treatment: therapies to treat gum diseases, such as regular teeth cleaning and gum curettage.

Conservative dentistry
It deals with the reconstruction of teeth, or parts of them, compromised by fractures or cavities and aims to restore the functionality and aesthetics of the tooth. Dental restorations can be composite or ceramic, including: dental fillings, inlays, crowns, and aesthetic veneers.
- Dental cavity: Cavities are a condition that causes damage to the enamel layer covering the teeth. Through professional dental cleaning, teeth sealing, and fluoridation, we help prevent the formation of dental cavities. Dental filling involves carefully removing the decayed tissue and then performing a reconstruction. However, a dental filling is not sufficient when the cavity has reached the dental pulp: in this case, pulpitis is already underway and can only be treated through dental root canal therapy.

- Endodontics: Root canal treatments to eliminate inflammation or infection inside the tooth, relieving pain from deep cavities, all performed with local anesthesia to ensure that patients do not feel any pain during the treatment.

Fixed and Removable Dental Prosthetics
- Fixed dental prosthetics allow for the replacement of missing or damaged teeth. They are fixed because they are permanently applied and cannot be removed by the patient, as they are cemented to natural teeth or artificial roots.
- Removable dental prosthetics, on the other hand, are designed to replace a portion or the entire dental arch and can be removed by the patient for regular daily hygiene practices.
Gnathology and Temporomandibular Disorders
The gnathological dental examination involves a thorough first-level clinical and instrumental anamnestic assessment (electrognathographic and orthopantomographic examinations) and second-level evaluation (functional bilateral TMJ MRI).
Regarding non-surgical treatment for temporomandibular disorders, ranging from physiotherapy to pharmacological therapy, to orthopedic functional occlusal dental therapy, Paideia provides a comprehensive path from diagnosis to treatment.
At Paideia, it is also possible to undergo therapeutic bite plane construction, a personalized device that helps correct the position of the mandible and improve jaw function. This type of device is particularly useful for patients suffering from bruxism caused by dental malocclusion.

Oral Surgery
At Paideia, it is possible to perform advanced oral surgery procedures, even under conscious sedation, for:
- Maxillary cysts
- Pre-tumoral and tumoral lesions
- Removal of wisdom teeth
- Correction of jaw anomalies
- Placement of dental implants
