The Thoracic Surgery unit at Paideia International Hospital carries out both diagnostic and therapeutic activities for any disease requiring surgery of the thorax, lungs, pleura, thymus, mediastinum and oesophagus, whether tumour-induced, functional or traumatic, in both scheduled and emergency cases.
The thoracic surgery team has more than 10 years’ specific training in minimally invasive thoracic surgery. The majority of operations are performed using a single-port thoracoscopic technique (uniVATS) or a robotic technique (RATS).
